Fans of craft beer can enjoy Silverbirch Hotels dedicated craft beer menu in the Barreta Bar & Grill.
The menu features local favourites Pokertree Brewery, which was the first brewery in Country Tyrone in over three generations! Brewing superb quality, small batch, handmade beers Pokertree aims to ensure that only all natural and where possible local ingredients are used at all times.
Silverbirch recommends that you try Pokertree’s ‘Ghrian Golden Ale’ also known as ‘Bottled Sunshine’. Ghrian - which in Irish means 'Sun' - is brewed with a number of pale barley and wheat malts to create its light golden colour and subtle sweetness. The perfect beer to enjoy in the sun this summer.
Farmageddon Brewing Co-op
Another Brewery featured on our craft beer menu is the Farmageddon Brewing Co-Op, which comprises 7 friends who know each other either from the martial arts or punk rock scene in Belfast. For the Co-op members, home brewing is part of a mutual interest of growing fruit and vegetables, foraging, rearing pigs and chickens and a general love of self-sufficiency! The Farmageddon Brewer’s believe in craft beer not chemical engineering so their beer is unfiltered, suitable for vegans and the contains no preservatives. This range of quirky local ale’s is available in the Barreta Bar & Grill.
Bru Brewery Meath (NEW Arrival)
A New arrival on our craft beer menu is the 'Bru Larger', Bru Ri from Bru Brewery Meath, an international award winning craft brewery based in the Trim, Co. Meath. Brewing the finest quality hand crafted beer using locally sourced ingredients.
O'Hara's Irish Craft Beers (NEW Arrival)
O'Hara's Larger, another new arrival from O'Hara's Irish Craft Beers is well worth a try. O’Hara’s brewing company is an independent Irish family owned business established in 1996 and one of the pioneers of Irish craft brewing. These experts in their field have a created a high quality Larger perfected through years of brewing for your enjoyment.
The Glens of Antrim Craft Ale & Beers (NEW Arrival)
The Glens of Antrim Craft Ale & Beers is another new brewery on the Barreta Bar & Grill’s craft beer menu. The Glens of Antrim Craft Ale & Beers is a really small brewery situated at the very corner of Ireland, across from Rathlin Island and the Mull of Kintyre. Quality is at the centre of all of their handcrafted ales and beers, with their secret ingredients being, passion, spring water and time. The Rathlin Red is a well-balanced bright coppery red ale, with pleasingly malty caramel notes, a generous texture, substantial mouth feel and long lasting finish, a delicious addition to our menu.
North West Brew Fest
Hundreds of Festival goers helped to 'brew up a storm' at North West Brew Fest, the debut beer festival hosted at The Pavilion, Silverbirch Hotel over the bank holiday weekend (Saturday 30th April). Six local breweries from across NI offered a choice of over 25 craft beers, ales, stouts and Ciders with every taste catered for! Fans of craft beer can enjoy Silverbirch Hotels craft beer menu in Barreta Bar which features North West Brew Fest exhibitors Pokertree Brewery and Farmageddon.
